Over the weekend the NFL season got underway and a San Diego native made his NFL debuts. Terrell Burgess who graduated from San Marcos High School in 2016 and was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round this year out of the University of Utah. Of the 13 players with San Diego ties that signed to NFL teams during or after the draft, Burgess was the one who saw playing time during opening weekend. He played on special teams in the Rams’ 20-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
