Pro –
Fernando Tatis Jr – Coming back from injury, the Padres’ superstar led the team in home runs and was tied for second in RBIs for the month of August.
Tumi Moshobane – The San Diego Loyal striker proved to be the difference maker in several of the Loyal’s August wins.
Amateur –
Breya Cunningham and Jada Williams from La Jolla Country Day School both played for Team USA that claimed the FIBA U16 Americas Women’s Championship this year.
High School –
Samuel Cooper IV – The University City High School quarterback had an impressive first 2 games of the season, totaling over 500 yards passing with 5 touchdowns, and adding 2 more touchdowns on the ground.
Brooklyn Burns – The senior outside hitter for the Torrey Pines girls’ volleyball team was named MVP of the California Cup Tournament as she helped lead the Falcons to a tournament championship.
