The San Diego Padres swung their way into history this week by becoming the first team in MLB history to hit a grand slam in four consecutive games. In order over the last four games: Fernando Tatis (who currently leads the MLB in home runs), Wil Myers, Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer helped blast the Padres in to the record books. The offensive fireworks has caused social media to run wild with Padres fans enthusiasm, with the team now being dubbed the ‘Slam Diego Padres’ by many, even including the teams’ own official twitter.
