Normally the high school sports year closes with the Prep Athlete Awards Gala, hosted by the San Diego Sports Association and the Union-Tribune. The annual event celebrates and honors the accomplishments of high school student-athletes from around San Diego County. A highlight of the event is always the announcement of the Male and Female Athletes of the Year and Coaches of the Year.
Although this year we may not be able to applaud the athletes and coaches at Petco Park, The Sports Association is proud to honor this year’s award recipients. Meet the 2019 – 2020 Prep Athlete Male and Female Athletes and Coaches of the year.
